Pada saat yang sama, Tobing secara langsung melaporkan kejadian tersebut kepada Kadis Perhubungan yang kebetulan masih berada di POS Jembatan Timbang Simpang Salak dan memerintahkan agar segera melakukan pertolongan ( Utamakan Keselamatan Jiwa ybs ). Korban laka tersebut bernama Jhon Pontas Simbolon ( 52) warga dusun Ujung Parira , Sumbul Tengah , Kec. Tigalingga.
